The Catholic Community of St. Michaels in Mt. Pleasant, Texas has been celebrating God's saving grace in our lives for over eighty-five years. Beginning with a wooden structure next to the railroad tracks and continuing here at 1403 East First Street, the Catholic community has gathered to celebrate the sacraments, to learn God's word, to reach out in service and to share the journey to eternal life. Families have looked to St. Michael as a place where they could come to know their God more deeply, share their lives in community and be in touch with the universal church. Hundreds have been baptized here enabling them to begin their personal journeys with Christ encouraged and strengthened by the community that welcomed them. Countless individuals have been confirmed and married. Many families have laid love ones to rest supported and strengthened by their faith community. St. Michaels has been a home for God's grace in the future. may God bless all the people of St. Michaels and may continue to strive to be a community which "shares the light of the Gospel."
